About Us

The founders of the Straits Cheese Company, natives from Bermondsey, were inspired by the traditional Cheesemongers found in London's famous Borough Market.

Our mission is to bring the same quality products and values through an efficient click & collect e-commerce sales channel. Most of our orders are fulfilled & available for collection within an hour. Orders submitted through the iPad stand inside our Chinatown outlet will be fulfilled within seconds.

We also offer free island wide delivery for orders above S$100 (S$15 below S$100).

Our Cheeses

We source the finest award winning artisan cheeses directly from our British and European wholesale specialists. We then track and control every aspect of the chill chain logistics from these markets directly to our customers.

Many of our artisan cheeses have never been sold in Singapore or Asia before. Our range of cheeses changes regularly as we discover rare and seasonal products.

Organic and Vegetarian

We are one of the few cheesemongers in Singapore with a selection of certified organic and vegetarian cheeses.

Our Accompaniments

We are proud the be the first Asian retailer and wholesaler of Paxton & Whitfield accompaniments. Established in 1797, Paxton & Whitfield supplies the British Royal household by appointment.

Our Chinatown Retail Outlet

Our primary sales channel is our Click & Collect outlet in the historic former Straits Settlement Police Barracks, which is just five minutes walk away from Outram and Chinatown MRT stations.

Located in a former ground floor kitchen, our Cheesemongers will be more than happy to answer any questions you have but please note all orders have to be submitted through our e-commerce platform and we strictly do not serve samples.

Yes, we provide trade-cut wholesale cheeses. We help F&B establishments across Singapore develop a cheese board and keep the board fresh with regular additions. Contact sales@straitscheese.com for our wholesale prices lists.

Academy of Cheese

All our Cheesemonger's are certified by the Academy of Cheese - the UK cheese industry body.
